About us
Women liberation and transformation group is a Non governmental organization founded in 2020 and was fully incorporated in 2021 to improve the social-economic capacity and enjoyment of human rights of persons living in Rural communities especially Women and Girls.
WLIT has recorded a great impact by improving the economic power of women and girls,increasing the awareness on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence , engagement of community and market leaders as well as traditional institutions in ending Sexual and Gender based violence, increasing access to education for out of school Children, Provision of Educational materials to school children from vulnerable families , provision of relief packages and free medical outreach for Vulnerable households and persons with disabilities in rural communities in Lagos since year 2020.
Our Objectives

Objective 1
To improve the socio-economic status of people living in rural communities especially women, girls, youths and persons with disabilities through skill acquisition programs, digital & vocational training, financial empowerment and other multidimensional intervention.

Objective 2
To increase access to quality education and reduce the number of out-of-school children in rural communities(girl-child) through provision of academic scholarship, educational materials, enrollment and re-enrollment into government or private schools in the community.

Objective 3
To reduce occurrence of gender-based violence in rural communities through Advocacy, dialogue,sensitization of community members,community leaders and engagement of traditional and religious institutions.

Objective 4
To improve the health status of persons living in rural communities through distribution of food items,provision of pipe borne water,awareness creation on hygiene and community sanitation ,free medical outreach programs for vulnerable persons and partnership with health practitioners and like minded organizations for emergency response.

Objective 5
To work in partnership with persons, institutions , government ministries and agencies to facilitate information sharing and build platforms for networking on women empowerment and livelihood programs, GBV response, access to education and health emergency response.
